A round-table on "The potential of eco-tourism in Uzbekistan"

On March 14, MDIS Tashkent hosted a round-table discussion on "The potential of eco-tourism in Uzbekistan", held within the framework of the Hashar Week project, organized by MDIS Tashkent Lead Lecturer, Ms. Suna Park.


The goal of the event was to create an expert platform for effective ideas exchange on perspectives of eco-tourism development.

World Bank presents its Human Capital Project and the results of Uzbekistan’s Education Sector Analysis

TASHKENT, March 13, 2019 - During a workshop hosted by the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) in Tashkent, the World Bank presented the Human Capital Project and its recent report analyzing current challenges observed in Uzbekistan’s education sector.

The workshop at MDIS Tashkent was attended by government officials from ministries and state agencies concerned, educational experts, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps, the private sector, journalists and students.

Friday Talk with Mr. Ravshan Ermatov

On February 28, MDIS Tashkent welcomed a special guest - Ravshan Ermatov, the renowned football referee.

During the presentation, Mr. Ermatov gave an inspirational speech on the importance of humility and diligence in achieving success. The guest also highlighted the importance of overcoming stress in difficult situations.

At the end of the presentation, MDIS Tashkent students took part in the Q&A session with the distinguished guest and discussed about Uzbekistan’s performance in the world football championships.

Professional Thursday with Aziz Buriev


On February 28, MDIS Tashkent hosted a Professional Thursday Talk with Aziz Buriev, the director of “DE FACTO Marketing” agency, who talked about the "Types of marketing research and their practical use in the conditions of Uzbekistan".

During the session, the guest focused on the market demand analysis and the important factors determining the number of competitors and their current market share. Mr. Buriev also mentioned about several methods of marketing research with a real life examples and company cases.

The Memorandum of Cooperation between MDIS Tashkent and Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn

On February 26, 2019, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent and Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. The bilateral agreement was signed by Dr. Kanat Sadykov, KNU Rector and MDIS Tashkent representatives, on behalf of Dr. Jasur Salikhov, MDIS Tashkent Rector, during the visit to Kyrgyz Republic.

The Memorandum of Understanding between MDIS Tashkent and the “PRIMECOACH” centre

On February 22, MDIS Tashkent received a delegation from the “PRIMECOACH” Language Centre (Tashkent) represented by the founder and managing director.


The major purpose of the visit was signing the Memorandum of Understanding between MDIS Tashkent and the “PRIMECOACH” centre, as well as discussion of details of mutual collaboration in terms of development and initiation of joint events and projects, organization of exclusive sessions for the “PRIMECOACH” students during the enrollment process. 


Online Session with Mr. Atahan Tosun

On February 26, 2019, MDIS Tashkent Tourism Innovation and Co-learning Center organized an Online Session with Mr. Atahan Tosun, a travel blogger and the founder of Indy Guide (Switzerland). Mr. Atahan Tosun holds his master's degree in Finance & Business Administration from the University of Zurich and University of Tulsa and has an extensive experience in the banking sphere of Switherland.
