Training of Mohammed Bin Rashid center

August 28, MDIST Tourism Innovation Co-learning Center took part in the training of Mohammed Bin Rashid center for government innovation (UAE) held for representatives of state bodies of Uzbekistan. The training was organized by the Ministry of Innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the purpose to improve the creative thinking skills and inculcate the culture of innovation into the government employees. At the end of the training, all representatives, including MDIST Tourism Innovation Co-learning Center, were awarded with memorable presents.

First UNWTO-ICCA master class on the Meetings industry

MDIS Tashkent Tourism Innovation and Co-learning Center took part in the first UNWTO-ICCA master class on the Meetings industry. The event was initiated by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development. The purpose of the training was to adopt the experience of leading international MICE experts for further enhancement of MICE tourism in Uzbekistan. At the end of the workshop, all tourism industry representatives including MDIST Tourism Innovation Co-learning Center were awarded wth certificates.

    As the number of candidates for the Foundation Year program at MDIS Tashkent campus exceeded the target number, you can opt for the two following educational opportunities provided by MDIS (Singapore) for MDIS Tashkent applicants exclusively:

     

    1.  To pursue the Foundation Year programme at MDIS (Singapore) with the capacity to accept up to a thousand of students (the counselling sessions for the candidates will be held at MDIS Tashkent campus on August 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 at 11:00 daily / room 127);

     

    VIII-th International Marketing Contest winners award ceremony

    July 28. MDIS Tashkent held a solemn award ceremony of the VIII-th International Marketing Contest winners, which took place at Kyrgyz National University named after Yusuf Balasagyn (Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek).

    Four MDIST Tashkent students, who took the first prize in Bishkek in February 2019, were bestowed with the Exchange Student Summer Tour Programme to Singapore, which will take place in late August 2019.

    MDIS Tashkent expresses its deep appreciation to Mr. Temur Islamov and Ms. Yuliya Paramonova for the expertise and unwavering support to the students’ project.

    “Investment Wednesday” with Dr. Umid Abidhadjaev

    July 24, 2019. MDIS Tashkent hosted an “Investment Wednesday” with Dr. Umid Abidhadjaev. The main purpose of the event was to familiarize students with the impact of investment on the social welfare of the country on the example of three practical cases. 

    Dr. Umid Abidhadjaev kindly shared the results of his research in the investment field. In particular, the guest talked about investments in infrastructure development of Japan, Uzbekistan and the Philippines. 

    MDIS Tashkent Tourism Team Paratourism research in Samarkand

    July 2019, MDIS Tashkent Tourism Research Team and Tourism Innovation Co-Learning Center were invited to join a social project - “Travel for all” organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development in the support of people with limited abilities.

    MDIS Tashkent Tourism Research Team collected data about Paratourism in Samarkand city and made an analysis of its readiness for the activity. Also, the data on archeological sites of the city and its tourism infrastructure were collected.

    July 11-12. Dr. Deniza Alieva took part in the Colloquium on Applied Network Analysis held in @iseglisbon (Portugal), where she presented the results of her research in Russian - Andalusian tourism market. The colloquium served as a good meeting point, where important and interesting issues were discussed. 

    MDIS Tashkent at the 3-d Spanish Congress on Sociology

    July 3-6. Dr. Deniza Alieva took part in the III Spanish Congress on Sociology, where she presented the results of the research conducted in collaboration with her colleagues from Personal Networks and Communities Lab from the @unisevilla. The research analyzes the networks of Russian tourism agents that send tourists to Andalusia, Spain, and highlights the importance of personal relations in tourism and hospitality industry.

    The British Council in Uzbekistan conducted a workshop for "The 5 Initiatives Summer School" project

    Ms. Nargiza Kuchkarova, a certified British Council expert, instructed the teenage learners on IELTS  examination in an interactive and amicable manner. During the workshop, the young attendees learned a lot about the test taking strategies and techniques and were provided with useful tips on how to survive this challenging process.

    MDIS Tashkent extends its sincere gratitude to the British Council in Uzbekistan and Ms. Nargiza Kuchkarova in person and is looking forward to future cooperation.
