On November 2, students of MDST used a terrific chance to learn more about the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) at a meeting with Dr. Dono Abdurazakova, Senior Social Adviser, FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia at the MDIS in Tashkent.
During the meeting, Dr. Dono Abdurazakova conducted brief information about the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), national priorities and international commitments, current challenges and achievements.
In addition, she reported on work in her relevant areas, such as gender gaps in the region from the perspective of FAO. FAO's activities also focus on gender equality, social protection and rural development.
Besides, the interactive session during the meeting supported close communication between the guest of honor and the audience, giving each student an opportunity to discuss the issues related to food security, current local and international projects and nutrition standards for children and women.
