On March 2, MDIS Tashkent students made a Field Trip to Rieter Uzbekistan plant. Rieter is the world’s leading supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning. Based in Winterthur (Switzerland), the company develops and manufactures machinery, systems, and components used to convert natural and manmade fibers and their blends into yarns.
The major purpose of a field trip was to introduce students of the Industrial Management faculty to the bases of equipment manufacturing and production management.
Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Manufacturing Manager Ilkhom Olimov and Head of Supply Chain Sanjar Mustafaev have skillfully delivered the company presentation, which was followed by a lengthy excursion across the facilities and production line premises, where students were given a chance to witness the real-life manufacturing process.
On the top of that, students were also given an opportunity to meet Localization and International Affairs Specialist Mukhlisa Djalalova who was kind enough to share her personal success story and answer the questions pertaining to the internship and employment opportunities at Rieter Uzbekistan.
MDIS Tashkent expresses its sincere gratitude to the Rieter Uzbekistan staff members and is looking forward to further cooperation with the company.
