March 18 - 19
The spring cleaning day which has its roots in several old traditions dating back to ancient times, up to 3000 years b.c. is a popular initiative where locals gather to take care of litter and junk from neighbourhoods, local parks, and often from wild nature areas as well.
All around the world there isn’t any exact date for national spring cleaning day. It instead depends on local community activities and organisations.
At the same time, spring cleaning seems to be an essential part of our nature as human beings.
In our country it has become a good tradition to clean up the neighbourhood before Navruz holiday.
This year, apart from traditional campus grooming, MDIST staff and students have also thoroughly cleaned up the New Sergeli Park area.
