Art therapy is one of the forms of therapy in which creativity and self-expression are used to reduce stress and improve self-esteem.
On March 28, 2018, MDIS Tashkent students conducted an art therapy session on the open air with the psychologist of our institute - Juraeva Shirina. It was an interesting session where participants expressed their emotional condition on a piece of paper, the atmosphere was very friendly and students enjoyed the creative process. While many other forms of therapy rely on words and speech - necessary ways to express feelings, art therapy refers to another, more abstract forms of communication.
To enjoy the benefits of the art therapy, it is not necessary to be an artist. In most exercises, it is not about the end product that you create, but the meditative ritual of the creative process itself which is more important.
Such format of training will be held on a permanent basis so that students can develop their stress-resistant skills, raise self-esteem and become happier.
