On September 17th, Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, hosted a round table on: "The Importance of introducing innovations in the sphere of tourism in Uzbekistan and abroad".
The event was organized with the support of the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
Mr. Anvar Allabergenov, the Head of Department of Innovation and Improvement of Educational Services of the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan moderated the panel discussion, which mainly touched upon such topics as innovations in the sphere of tourism, gastronomic tourism, rural tourism, ecotourism, as well as the development of tourism infrastructure and training for the hospitality industry.
The industry experts from Uzbekistan and speakers from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan presented on the following issues:
1. The Deputy Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Akbarov Saidakbarhon Tokhirovich - "Tourist Potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
2. The Chairman of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Musina Natalia Konstantinovna, - "Gastronomic tourism. The experience of the Caravan Group";
3. The Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Aeronautics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Public Council of the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan - Soliyev Tahir Nurmamatovich -"Innovative methods of creating an attractive tourist image";
4. Suna Julia Park, the Director of the Business School at Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent - "Design thinking as an effective approach to innovations in tourism".
The representatives of Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism – Sembiratova Polina and the Academy of Tourism of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan – Kositcyna Tatyana, spoke about "The current state of tourism development in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "Tourism and recreation at the Issyk-Kul region".
The event has also been attended by the representatives of the Association "National Marketing Center", the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Uzbekistan; The Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as national and international universities engaged in the training of personnel in the field of tourism.
