INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL "IV MILLENIALLS TOURISM FESTIVAL"
In recent years, special attention has been paid to the further improvement of the tourism sector and the withdrawal of tourist and hospitality services to international levels. In support of this, a resolution of the President of our country No. 135 dated April 26, 2023, "On additional measures for the accelerated development of the tourist potential of the republic, as well as a further increase in the number of local and foreign tourists," was adopted.
In order to ensure the implementation of this decision, the international youth festival "IV Millenialls Tourism Festival" was held at MDIST from August 23 to 26. As part of the festival, an international conference, "Tourism Prospects: Innovation and Stability," was organised on August 23. It is noteworthy that in addition to local HEIs specialising in tourism, representatives from Singapore, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan also participated in the festival.
On the second day of the festival, in partnership with the Khokimiyat of Tashkent region, a trip to Parkent district was organised for the guests. The festival participants got the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the Institute of Physics-Sun, the amazing nature of Parkent district, particularly Sukak village, as well as grape farms located in Zarkent village. In addition, in the village of Sukak, as part of the promotion of gastronomic tourism, guests were treated to Uzbek national cuisine.
On the third day of the festival, master classes and practical trainings in the field of hospitality were organised on the territory of Husma & Spa Hotel. In addition, the representative of the Manas Kyrgyz University, Ms. Aitbubu Badakhshanova, held her author's master class on bookscraping.
At the end of the festival, a master class on cooking the Tashkent wedding plov was organised for the guests. During the gala dinner, guests had the opportunity to taste palov.
All festival participants were awarded certificates and memorable gifts on behalf of the MDIS Tashkent Rector.
