The Grand Opening Ceremony of the International Youth Tourism Festival at MDIS Tashkent

From August 21 to 25 this year, the "International Youth Tourism Festival" was successfully organised by Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent in cooperation with he International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, and the Institute for the Development of Tourism. The festival aims to strengthen international cooperation in the tourism sector and enhance the knowledge and experience of young people. The grand opening ceremony of the festival was held at MDIS Tashkent on August 22.

Distinguished guests from Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey and Belarus attended the festival and shared their rich experiences in the field of tourism. Representatives from nine foreign universities, including Ibn Khaldun University, Istanbul University, and Antalya Tourism Academy from Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, participated in the event, exchanging knowledge and proficiency in tourism and hospitality.

Furthermore, six universities from Uzbekistan, including Andijan State University, Bukhara State University, Kokand University and Namangan State University, actively participated in the festival, contributing to the enhancement of young people's knowledge in the tourism sector.

The program of the festival is rich with various activities, including opportunities to familiarize participants with the International Islamic Academy, "Ziyorat tour" in Tashkent with the involvement of Academy staff, a trip to Samarkand, and participation in an international agro-tourism conference organized in collaboration with the Tashkent regional administration and the Institute for the Development of Tourism as part of the "Uzum sayli."
