Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Security Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in security management are a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security management or law enforcement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of security technology, including surveillance systems, access control, and emergency communication devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
- Availability to respond to emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of the university community and the security of university assets.
- Lead and manage the university security team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct regular security assessments and drills to identify vulnerabilities and ensure preparedness for a variety of security threats.
- Manage the installation and maintenance of security systems and equipment, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and emergency communication tools.
- Prepare and manage the security department’s budget.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, leading the security team in providing an effective and efficient response.
Job Type:
Full-time position. Work schedule Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
